8 Best Photography Locations in the Bay Area

Hey OnBrander’s! We hope everyone is having a great Holiday season and is getting ready for Christmas! We know it’s been a while, yes we missed you too, but we are back with some of our best recommendation for photoshoot location! It’s tough gathering the whole family for a photoshoot, but to have to pick out a location is a whole other pain that we here at OnBrand want to help. So lets get into our 8 best photo spots in the Bay!

Moss Beach

Our first location is a beautiful beach located in Half Moon Bay. The best part about this location is you have the dual option of shooting on the cliffs above the water then your second location is the beach, only a short walk down a paved path. This works for people who want the ocean in the backyard but aren’t too keen on getting their toes sandy.

San Francisco Flower Conservatory

This location quickly became one of our favorite places to shoot our fabulous clients. At this shoot location you have the opportunity to capture the beautiful viewpoint of the conservatory, the open grass fields, and then the steps of the building, you will be blown away with its mass beauty. Don’t forget to pack a blanket to lay out and have lunch with your loved ones after!

Palace of Fine Arts

What’s there to say about this breath taking place that can’t already be said by looking at it?? One of the most iconic places in San Francisco, the Palace offers true views of wonderment every angle you look at it. From afar or walking through, you can never get tired of looking at this incredible piece of art, making it the perfect spot to capture a photo.

Los Gatos

Do you want a place to take beautiful fall photos with the ever changing leaves? Or maybe an aesthetic shot with the lake in the background? Or even that iconic picture you’ve always wanted walking across a bridge? Well this park is the perfect one for you! With all of these spots and more, it has easily become a returning spot for our clients.

San Jose Rose Garden

Honestly before we started shooting here, we never even knew about the existence of this gorgeous and famous Rose Garden! Its honestly surprising since this is one of the most beautiful spots in the Bay Area. This gorgeous park is filled to the rim with rose bushes with all different colors to match whatever aesthetic you're going for. There is also a water fountain, arches made from vines, and trees so tall you’ll think your in the redwoods, giving you multiple shooting spots!

Tiburon

This is the cutest little city right outside of San Francisco that offers incredible views of the city skyline (when its not too foggy) and the Ocean. But even if so, you can walk along this path that boarders the water and if your feeling really adventurous you can even take some shots standing on the rocks! If you keep walking down the walkway you’ll come to some restaurants and an adorable downtown that also make for some really nice pictures.

Muir Woods

Ever wonder where they shot Planet of the Apes? Well look no further because you found it. These woods offer incredible hikes and views that stretch on for miles, but for some great photos you only need to head in about 8-15 minutes of walking. There are amazing creeks, bridges, and steps that all make the walk worth it, especially when you bring a baby as cute as this one!

Piedmont Park

Now don’t think just because this is the last spot on our list its not the best, because the variety of locations at this park will blow you away. From the long big stretch of green grass, to its red brick paved garden, all the way down to little hiking trails this is one of the best places to photograph! This location is best for literally any setting you have including weddings, graduations, family and portraits.
