Hello everyone and Happy Holidays! We hope you had an absolutely fabulous Thanksgiving yesterday with your loved ones and had lots of yummy food. Today marks the official first day of the most festive and adored season, and we can’t wait to start spreading the Christmas cheer. We have so many fun things planned this Christmas season including a special OnBrand Christmas shoot, unique Small business Featured Fridays, and lots of client shoots so we get to actually celebrate and capture your holiday memories. There is no better way to start the Christmas season than with this super special Featured Friday that will be the perfect gift for all of your festivity needs, and to top it off this businesses entrepreneurial master mind of a woman is someone we call a dear friend. Lets jump into this mouth watering and gorgeously crafted Featured Friday!
Mrs. Bars Boards was created based off of a passion of quality, excellence, and the perfect presentation for your favorite charcuterie board all started with a dream. These boards are more than an appetizer, but an experience with wonderful sights, smells, and tastes that can be shared intimately with your favorite person or with all of your loved ones this holiday season. Mrs. Bars Boards has come to fruition in this past month and has seen huge growth, due to the dedication and hard work by Alyssa Chao, soon to be Barajas. Alyssa welcomed us into her home to first hand experience and enjoy her beautifully curated boards. Upon arrival she already had two perfectly engineered boards, the first one being a size small “Traditional Board” and a size small “Something Sweet Board” both are meant to serve 10-12 people. I can honestly say that these boards looked so gorgeous, they could be qualified as art with how much time and care she puts into her work.
While we photographed and admired how beautiful these creations were, Alyssa shared with us the story of where this passion was born and came to life. Originally a year or so ago Alyssa started taking her health journey very seriously and realized that Charcuterie boards were a healthy and delicious way to snack throughout the day. She had such a fun time finding the perfect items and learning the skills on how to prepare easy boards for herself and family. Just recently Alyssa became engaged to her wonderful Fiance Emmanuel, and for her engagement party she decided to put her skills to the test and create a magnificent board for all of her guests to share. Her charcuterie board ended up being a huge hit, and honestly I ate like a quarter of her delicious board at her party, and she realized that this was her calling! About a month later Alyssa has found herself in an amazing and niche market and business is booming.
After hearing about her fun journey to the beginning of her business, it was finally time to try these gorgeous creations but in all honestly they were almost so perfect we wanted to preserve them forever. However, we sacrificed for our readers to get an accurate report and jumped right into these fabulous boards. Not only are these boards so aesthetically pleasing to the eye but they are so incredibly yummy! Every ingredient perfectly pairs together, the variety is so well thought through, and the freshness and quality is impeccable.
Alyssa hand picks every item, ingredient, and board that the customers receive. The time and dedication that she has to her business is astonishing to say the least and we were really impressed with her passion and care. Every customer gets to keep their gorgeous board which is extremely unique for this type of business and every item on the board is consumable, no filler or non edible decorative items. Also the boards come with refillables, so the boards that are pictured is what the customer will receive but they will also get extra items based on the size of the party. Between the meat flowers, chocolate curated items, fresh produce selection, and a color palette that pleases the eye it is no wonder why so many people are buying these boards for the holiday season. Currently posted on her Instagram page she still has availability for December so now would be a wonderful time to grab a board for your work party, gift it to a loved one as a present, or intimately share a board with your partner on Christmas day, the options are endless!
