String of Arts

Hello OnBranders and Welcome back to our Feature Friday segment. We are so happy to have you back for another week to divulge into a new business that has recently caught our attention. Incase you missed our last week of content we had the pleasure of Featuring a young, intelligent, and passionate local politician named William Muetzenberg, so be sure to check that blog out. We love when you guys reach out to us for a new blog or Feature idea, and our favorite aspect about this blog is connecting with everyone so please continue to reach out to us. Without further ado let’s jump into this dynamic-duo kick ass sister team.

One day I was relaxing at home when my sister walked into the house with an eye catching plant wrapped the most beautiful macrame basket. I immediately stopped her because I needed to know where she bought her wonderful new room addition (and honestly I was jealous). She informed me that her close friend Kelsey and her Sister, Sydney, have recently started there own hand-made product business. This immediately caught my attention and I was curious to connect and see if this small business would fit perfectly into our Feature Friday segment. After meeting the sisters and learning all about their diverse products and background story of their business they are the perfect addition to our 25th Friday!

Not only is this business amazing to shop at because their handmade products are absolutely beautiful, but they have a great story that lead to the creation of their craft. The sister pair did not originally set out to start a business but it honestly just happened. Kelsey and Sydney can remember their original love for art making through their mother who taught them all about crafting. They carried this passion throughout their lives and once the shelter in place began last year due to COVID they began making macrame plant hangers for their close friends. Their friends absolutely loved their products and pushed the sisters to start selling through instagram which lead to them owning their own Etsy store. From macrame plant hangers the duo have branched out and diversified their product range that they offer which now includes jewelry, resin products, and their brand new item Silly Roach Clips which was just released. Another factor which makes this business irresistible to shop at is that they try to recycle all of the products that they use. A majority of their product packaging is recycled and can continue to be recycled. They source their materials from other Etsy shop owners or other small businesses, and try to multi-purpose scrap materials for all of their items. We adore the support of small businesses and the fact that these sisters continue to contribute back to their own community shows sincerity and unity.

We absolutely loved connecting with these unique and authentic souls throughout the entire Featured Friday process. They were so unbelievably kind to work with and I loved being able to see the quality on a wide range of their products. We were curious to see where their favorite travel location was and it was a trip that they took together in 2018 to London! Their favorite parts was being able to go sightseeing and doing different touristy attractions like going to museums and pubs. Thank you Kelsey and Sydney for gifting us some of your business products and being an absolute joy to work with! I would highly recommend everyone checking out their Etsy Store and Instagram, and purchasing one of their high quality items for your home or everyday wear. We love seeing young women strive to create something exceptional and start their own business, with ethical practices sewn into the fabric of their company. Its inspiring seeing Twenty-Somethings continue to create multi-faceted businesses for this world to enjoy.

I hope you all have an amazing Friday and an even better weekend. We will see you all next week.

Stay Safe and Happy Travels.
